#Remolove — Episode 3

Gomoji makes a move! He convinces Mimi that he is Lemon and he asks her out! And she says yes! Happy ever after! ….not. Mimi finds dating to be very tedious and annoying and she misses the easygoing conversation she had with Lemon over chat. Until one intimate night…

Translation Notes/Trivia

  • Food
    • Konjac comes in many forms. The most common form in Japan is either a solid block (looks like tofu) or in noodle form. Neither of which is sweet. It’s cooked as a vegetable or a side dish.
  • Culture
    • Valentine’s Day, is of course February 14. White Day is March 14th. In Japan, women give chocolate to guys they like on February 14th and guys reciprocate (if they like the woman back) on March 14th.
    • Summer research project. Japanese school kids have summer homework because summer break falls right between their first trimester and second trimester. Elementary school kids are expected to do a self-driven project. Most are pretty basic, like catching and identifying bugs, or tracking the blooming stage of morning glory. This is what Dr. Tomichika is referencing when she says “studying flower(morning glories)”.
