I enjoyed this first episode. It’s a worthy successor to the original series. It’s fun to see some of the same running gags repeated (like the interaction with the convenience store employee). And, the new female leads are well cast.
This is one of the best doramas ever made. I always thought this dorama deserved a second season and a movie. It’s fun watching Kuwano-san adventures again after 13 years. This series could have had easily 13 seasons. Hiroshi Abe is a great actor and this is one of his best roles. The screenwriter Masaya Ozaki is also very talented, he is the same screenwriter who created the awarded Shiroi Haru, another great dorama also starring Hiroshi Abe-san.

SoftSubs for Episode 1 do not sync to the raw file after the title song. I can see the hard subbed version has the adds after the title song. The raw does not, causing it to be out of sync after that. DIsappointing … Can you advise the correct raw file that matches the EP1 soft subs ? Thanks.
