Takaie’s mom comes to visit! She brings with her the news that Dr. Yoko, who inspired Takaie to become a doctor himself, has fallen ill in Tokyo and has been hospitalized for a while at Daida Hospital. Takaie convinces Himokura to help look into what’s going on. His worries are proven correct when they show up at the hospital and his old colleagues tell him that they haven’t been treating her at all!
Translation Notes/Trivia
- Japan has a genre of comedy called Rakugo where a comedian sits on top of a cushion and tells a story that’s suppose to be funny. There’s no such equivalent in America, so it’s been changed to “stand-up comedy” even though… ironically, he’s not standing.
