Makino’s daughter, Mika, is in the hospital for a severe case of stomach flu. Turns out, Mika has immunodeficiency disease that causes her to be more susceptible to common illnesses and suffer more severe symptoms due to the weakened immune system. Makino is both trying to be there for her daughter, look for a cure for the immunodeficiency disease, as well as keep up with her career ambitions.
This leaves her boss, Amino, to approach Himokura and Takaie asking them to look after her “as friends” and make sure she takes care of herself. Himokura and Takaie exchanges a look as they’re not sure if Makino’s really their friend…
Translation Notes/Trivia
- I normally transcribe English lines because the bad Japanese accents takes away from the show. However, I decided not to for this episode and that attest to YamaP’s decent English skills.
