Umi is desperate to hang out with Natsu and have her father in her life, but Natsu feels like he needs to sort out his affairs with Yayoi first.
Trivia/Translator’s Notes
- Hato Sablé — Hato is pideon, and sable is a type of butter cookie in French. This is a famous “souvenir” snack that you can buy from Kamakura.
- Japan has a very extensive souvenir culture and the snacks you buy as gift are packaged very nicely (ex: packaged individually so it can be shared among a group of coworkers). This is why Natsu was saying it’s “culturally different” that Umi would buy these types of snacks for herself.
- Hagi-no-tsuki is a souvenir from the city of Sendai. It is a sponge cake with custard inside. Tokyo Banana is a souvenir from Tokyo, obviously.
- Washing hands and rinsing after you get home is the typical practice in Japan to minimize the spread of germs. Notably, kids are told to rinse with salt water and that’s suppose to wash away any outside germs.

You are my real angel. Thank you very much for that. I really like that serial and thanks to you I am able to watch it.
Thank you so much for episode 2.
thanks a lot!
Thank you. Time flies while watching this. Wish the episodes were two hours long.
I love this episode so much. Umi just takes so easily to Natsu and loves him. I hope he can love her as a father in equal measure. Can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you so much for subbing this drama.
I’m really loving this one and the subs are great! I translate novels from Japanese and have done some subs so I know how tough this is. You’re awesome for doing this and thank you so much 🙂
Thank you very much.
