Trillion Game – EP9

President Kokuryu proposes that Kirika and Haru get married, so Haru can join Dragon Bank. Of course, Haru turns him down like a gentleman which only angers the old man more, but Kirika is delighted. For his next step, Haru decides he wants to get into cashless banking. And who shows up at his meeting… it’s none other than Kirika herself!

• “Fireworks!” In the scene, Haru is seen yelling “Fireworks!” to the sky. The Japanese word he uses is “Tamaya” which is what people yell when they see a beautiful firework. The origin of this practice came from two firework companies in the Edo period. The company “Tamaya” put on fireworks upstream from the bridge, and the company “Kagiya” put on fireworks downstream from the bridge, on the same river. So people on the bridge would yell out “Tamaya” “Kagiya” depending on which fireworks they thought were prettier. Source
