Murakami Shiho at glance seems like a bubbly, outgoing housewife to her 6-months old baby Ichigo and her husband who runs a yakitori restaurant. Meanwhile, Nagano is a working mom struggling with taking care of 2 kids while her husband works overtime and even sleeps at his office.

• “Taigan no Kaji” (the title) is a pun on the phrase “Taigan no Kaji” that means “the fire (kaji) on the other side of the river (taigan).” In the title, the fire is replaced with “household chores” (kaji).
