Translation Notes/Trivia
- Language
- “I can stare into those eyes forever.” — This line literally translated to “I can replace 3 bowls of rice with your eyes”. This is because in Japanese culture, there’s a notion that you get so full just staring into their eyes that you don’t crave anything else.
- Culture
- Stilts, especially ones made of bamboo, were common elementary-school toys back in the old days of Japan.
- References
- “Just like that movie!” — This is in reference to an 80s film about body switch, I Are You, You Am Me and they were able to switch back by throwing themselves off the stairs.
