At the junior high class reunion, Mio and her friends dig up a time capsule from their junior high school grounds. Inside the capsule, there are various things that each person had put in–CDs, cell phones, etc– and one letter from someone named “Miyuki Nakano” that no one can remember and seemed to have moved away sometime earlier. So how did the letter get there and what does it mean?
Translation Notes/Trivia
- Roll call is assigned in hiragana-order so Amemiya and Imai would usually be next to each other, since “a” comes right before “i”.
- Sasuke’s Aoi Bench (Blue Bench) was a hit song in the 2000s. Watch youtube here.
- Mio’s fan, Kuro, is assumed to be female at this current time. (Japanese language is vague about gender.) “Kuro” literally means black.
- Mio and her friends are all from Yamanashi Prefecture, but their junior high school is called Yamanishi Junior High. It’s not a typo.
