Asuka and Haruto went to high school together. She played the clarinet, and he played baseball. They were always together, along with their friends Tomoya, Kazuki, and Riko. But after graduation, everyone left the little town of Ryugasaki, Ibaraki and went separate ways. Haruto went to Hokkaido to pursue food science, and the rest went to Tokyo for college. At the class reunion 12 years later, Haruto and Asuka reunites and… one things leads to another and Asuka finally confesses her feelings to Haruto! Only to realize that Haruto had felt the same way the whole time. So they decided to go out, and the very next day…

• Ryugasaki, Ibaraki exists but Ryugasaki High School is fictional. Likewise, the rival baseball team, Shimotsuma-Go (Meaning Shimotsuma City 5th High School) doesn’t exist but Shimotsuma City itself does.
• Alps Stand is the nickname given to the bleachers at Koushien Stadium because when they rebuilt the stands to be made of concrete in 1929, combined with a full house of fans all wearing white, someone commented that it looked like the Alps.
• Japanese population is growing old and shrinking, which means there’s not enough students to fill schools. This is leading to a lot of school closures across the country.
• Fun fact about the song, 366 Days — Izumi, one of the main members of the band, wrote the song by actually breaking up with her boyfriend at the time, so she can write a genuine heartbreak from the heart.
